Screen Printing FAQs
Screen Printing is a printing technique that uses a woven mesh to support an ink-backing stencil. The attached stencil forms open areas of mesh that transfer ink or other printable materials, which can be pressed through the mesh as a sharp-edged image onto a substrate. A roller or squeegee is moved across the screen stencil, forcing or pumping ink past the threads of the woven mesh in the open areas.
Each color in a design needs to have a screen that goes with it. We charge a $25 screen fee per color printed. A reorder job has a $10 per color, per design & location screen fee. *Note: A job is considered a reorder only if no edits are required on the original screen set-up.
Please provide all artwork in vector format (AI, EPS, PDF) or 300dpi (PSD, JPG, PGN) at the size it is to be printed. Art should be sized to print within our maximum dimensions (14.5” X 19”).

Embroidery
Embroidery is a craft with ancient origins, dating back to early cultures across the globe. By using a needle, thread or yarn is sewn onto a base material or fabric to create a pattern. Today embroidery continues to be a popular craft and is often featured on clothing and decorative housewares.
Digitizing is the process of converting artwork into a stitch file that can be read by an embroidery machine and interpreted as different stitch types. We charge a flat fee of $55.00 to digitize your file. Bulk discount rates are available upon request.
We are quick! We usually have your file digitized in less than 24-48 hours.
Please provide all artwork in vector format (AI, EPS, PDF) or 300dpi (PSD, JPG, PGN) at the size it is to be printed.
There is no set limit, but we typically recommend keeping your file simple as detailed embroidery differs very much from screen printing.

Full-Color Printing
We recommend using a PDF file. You may also send the file in the following types: JPG, JPEG, TIF, TIFF, EPS, and PNG.
We prefer that you send PDFs with embedded or outlined fonts. PDF files are easier to handle and will likely speed up your turn-around. Remember to flatten your files before uploading.
For Roll Labels, we recommend designing:
• vector files (e.g. EPS or PDF)
• 300 DPI or higher
• use black (100% K)
• for fine lines and text smaller than 9pt, use black (100% K) only
When the image is required to extend all the way to the edge, bleed is
needed to preserve the finished look and the quality of the final
product.
Please keep all text at least 0.125″ inside the cut-line.
– The bleed for Standard Products is 0.125″.
– The bleed for Booklets and Presentation Folders is 0.25″.
Low-resolution files may be printed as is or will be placed on hold until we receive new files, slowing your turn-around.
We only accept 300 dpi files and no less.
When creating a Spot UV job, you must include a Spot UV template file along with the regular print file. The Spot UV template file is used to show where the UV coating needs to be applied.

For better quality, we recommend creating mask files in vector-based programs such as Illustrator or CorelDRAW.Please only use solid 100% K to indicate where you would like the UV. Do not use shadows, glows, or grayscale images. White will
indicate no UV. Remember, if it’s white, you can write!
